Artist and Design Statement 

As a third culture individual, I have inhabited both Western and Eastern norms and cultures from my education and my culture. I have always been inspired by the established perception of people's relationship with design, While people may need to realize the dependency on the everyday products that surround them, design surrounds everything and everyone. From the devices we use to the clothing we wear from head to toe every day. I have always enjoyed the process of discovering unintentional creativity and the flow of the unconscious conscious when I am tackling projects or when observing my surroundings and being able to catch an opportunity for design. I can depict aspects of different cultures which becomes a part of my individuality. I am always hands-on in projects, making prototypes or art using tools and machines to execute the plan in mind. I like to consider the peculiarity and particularity within design and always go beyond the aesthetics. I like to explore the interaction between people and design by observing and incorporating people's psychosomatic behaviors and the taking of pleasure in life from the simplest things.
